Downloading Your Certificate: Step by Step
If you already know your Udyam Registration Number (URN), the process is straightforward:
- Go to the official portal. Visit udyamregistration.gov.in directly — don't click through from a search ad or an unfamiliar link.
- Select "Print/Verify Certificate." This option is on the portal's homepage.
- Enter your URN. Type carefully — 0 (zero) is easily confused with the letter O, and 1 (one) with the letter l, a common source of failed lookups.
- Verify with OTP. An OTP is sent to the mobile number linked to your Udyam registration. You'll need access to that specific number.
- Download the PDF. Your certificate downloads instantly, ready to print or submit digitally.
Forgotten Your URN? Here's How to Recover It
If you don't remember your Udyam Registration Number, use the "Forgot Udyam/UAM No?" option on the portal homepage instead. Enter your registered mobile number or email, verify with the OTP sent to you, and your URN will be retrieved — you can then proceed to the standard download steps above.
| Your Situation | What to Do |
|---|---|
| I know my URN | Go directly to "Print/Verify Certificate" and enter it with OTP |
| I've forgotten my URN | Use "Forgot Udyam/UAM No?" first, then proceed to download |
| My registered mobile number has changed | Update your mobile number on the portal before you can receive the OTP |
| I only have an old Udyog Aadhaar (pre-2020) | Migrate to Udyam Registration on the same portal — Udyog Aadhaar is the older, discontinued system |
